Swap spreads are tighter by 2 1/2 basis points in the 2 year sector with 2 year swap spreads at 101 1/2. Five year spreads have tightened a basis point to 92 basis points. Ten year spreads are unchanged at 38 1/2. Thirty year spreads are unchanged at about zero. ...

Mortgages are opening 2 ticks wider to both to 5s and 10s. There has been some hedge fund buying and some originator selling.

General Collateral repo opened this morning around the 1 percent level which is right on top of where funds had been expected to open.
That would represent a return to normality and a reflection of the glut of bills sloshing around the system.
