IG CREDIT: Trading Volume Falls to Lowest Level of the Year

(Bloomberg) — Secondary IG trading ended with a Trace
count of $5.3b Friday vs $17.2b Thursday, $11.9b the previous
Friday. IG trading lowest since $2.1b on Dec. 31, 2015.
* 10-DMA $14.4b; 10-Friday moving avg $12.6b
* 144a trading added $1b of IG volume Friday, the lowest level
since $152m Dec. 31, vs $3b Thursday, $2.7b last Friday
* The most active issues:
* CBAAU 2.25% 2017 was 1st with just one large client
purchase accounting for 100% of volume
* WBA 4.80% 2044 was next with client and affiliate flows
taking 100% of volume; client selling neat 3x buying
* ABIBB 3.65% 2026 was 3rd with client trades taking 92%
of volume
* SLB 2.35% 2018 was most active 144a issue; client flows took
100% of volume
* Bloomberg US IG Corporate Bond Index OAS at 155.1 vs 155.7
