Steve Waldman writes the Interfluidity blog and attended the meeting between the Treasury 8 and senior Treasury officials on Monday.

I think he is a gifted writer and urge you to read his account of the proceedings.

After reading Steve’s report of the meeting, particularly your line of questioning, no one can accuse you of “being in the pocket” of the fed.

i esp like mr waldman’s anthropological observations of how “corruption” works – esp neat is his cookie avoidance, which i would be powerless to emulate, btw – his title “sympathy for the treasury” is also very appropriate allusion to the rolling stones song?? perhaps?

John, if you start having recurring nightmares of Yves Smith murdering two of your fellow bloggers, well, then you might want to start asking yourself if you possibly might have actually been in Beijing as opposed to Washington.
