Federal Reserve Treasury Accord 1951

In the previous post I mentioned the Accord between the Federal Reserve and the Treasury which established the independence of the Federal Reserve and freed it from the World War 2 responsibility of keeping interest rates low.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is a wonderful resource when seeking answers on economic history. Here is a link to a resource at the Richmond website which celebrated the 50th anniversary of that Accord in 2001.
