IMF Gloomy on Europe
October 22nd, 2008 7:08 am | by John Jansen |This is a report from the IMF which predicts tough economic sledding in Europe in the near term. I need to see if there is a larger versionof this report because it contains an interesting note which states that the new obligations of the governments to save the financial system has made it more difficult for individual countries to raise money in the bond market.
I just posted about Hungary but that is certainly a special case. I would love to hear from readers if that is happening below the radar in Western European bond markets. I certainly have not heard that and that would be the signal to buy toilet paper, tuna and book that flight to Idaho.
